Classroom Conversations

Today we had an earthquake drill. The have a special bell that goes off that tells you we need to pretend there's an earthquake and you are to run and find cover under a table or door frame in the class. The bell that's near my class wasn't working, so it took us to realize it was time and what that faint buzzing in the distance was.

As we hid under our tables for the minute before we evacuate one of my grade 12 IB students says:

"Miss is the bell isn't working how would we know if a real earthquake happens?"
Me: "Well you would feel it."
Student: "Oh, I never thought of that!"

And I'm the blond one.
